 The Ministry Leadership program is intended for students with a sense of God’s call, personal desire, and affirmation by their churches or ministries for Christian leadership. The program empowers students for ministry leadership with biblical foundations, an understanding of our world, and leadership in ministry areas. Students participate in challenging leadership experiences with supportive coaching by faculty and experienced ministry practitioners.

The Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Ministry equips students with leadership skills for ministry. It provides students with essential biblical and theological knowledge and skills as well as training in leadership theory and practice.

 Aspiring ministers and lay leaders in the church face significant obstacles to maximizing their potential. They need engaging and relevant education and solid biblical and theological training to prepare them for local church leadership. Churches need talent.

 CAREER & MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES

Graduates may enter ministry leadership careers including youth, pastoral, missions, worship, children’s ministry and youth ministry. A.  The student learning outcomes for Christian Leadership & Ministry are comparable to those of Intercultural Studies and Biblical/Theological Studies majors:

C• Demonstrate competence in Church history/theology knowledge, including the historic doctrines of the Christian faith and the people, events, and ideas that have shaped the Christian church.

D• Demonstrate competence in knowledge of the basic parameters of Christian worldview and the integration of Christian faith with daily living and academic learning.

E•  Demonstrate competence in written communication, oral communication, and critical thinking skills.
