We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in his ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that for salvation of  lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and by whose infilling the Christian is empowered to be a witness for Christ.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

                                        Accreditation & Legal Status

United Christian Bible University {UCBU} has accreditation and membership with a nationally recognized accrediting institutions to award certificates and associates, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees.

The U.S. Department of Education states that accreditation itself is a voluntary process. Many high-qualities, legitimate and legal Colleges and Universities and other institutions of higher education operate today without accreditation. There is no mandate by federal law for a School, College or University to be accredited. Many good schools are not accredited. Also, each accreditor has their own unique standards and, thus, there is no national consistency in institutional accreditation. Accreditation in the United States is awarded by non-US governmental agencies. Again, accreditation is strictly a voluntary option in the United States.

The United States has no Federal Ministry of Education or other centralized authority exercising single national control over post-secondary educational institutions in this country. The States assume varying degrees of control over education, but, in general, institutions of higher education are permitted to operate with considerable independence and autonomy. As a consequence, American educational institutions can vary widely in the character and quality of their programs."

In order to ensure a basic level of quality, the practice of accreditation arose in the United States as a means of conducting non-governmental, peer evaluation of educational institutions and programs. Private educational associations of regional or national scope have adopted criteria reflecting the qualities of a sound educational program and have developed procedures for evaluating institutions or programs to determine whether or not they are operating at basic levels of quality.” (U.S. Dept. United Christian Bible University {UCBU} is a private corporation in the state of Missouri and North Dakota, legally authorized by the government, with a religious exemption authority to offer degree programs designed solely for religious vocations. UCBU makes no claims, implied or otherwise, that our educational programs, courses, or curricula are the same as those offered by secular state colleges and universities.

UCBU desires to remain separate and thereby maintain our religious prerogatives and freedom to compose courses and design degree programs that are in accordance with our Biblical convictions and beliefs.

United Christian Bible University is a certified member of AICCS - Association of Independent Christian Colleges and Seminaries.

UCBU is proudly accredited by the ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT CHRISTIAN COLLEGES AND SEMINARIES –USA.

The Association of Independent Christian Colleges & Seminaries is one of the largest non-government accrediting groups in the world. AICCS is a non-profit association of independent Christian colleges and seminaries committed to academic excellence, intellectual freedom, ethical conduct, and moral integrity. AICCS was chartered as a charitable corporation in Missouri and now expanded to nations  to help establish, support, maintain, and promote the development of non-traditional, modular, and private tutoring,mentoring methods on-campus and audio,video-taped, online, and other distance learning methods off-campus.

[AICCS] USA has not sought recognition from the United States Department of Education. This choice has been made by the Institutions AICCS represents and in no way reflects on its Legal Status or the quality of education offered by the Institutions. AICCS is an international Accrediting Commission that currently represents over 100 institutions in countries Round the world

UCBU has elected AICCS as its Accrediting Agency because we desire to remain free from the control of any Federal, State, or private agency controlled by it that will not allow complete Religious Freedom in our curriculum and student body.

United Christian Bible University {UCBU} makes no guarantee of the acceptance of UCBU credits to other institutions. Transfer of credits from UCBU to other institutions of learning are solely up to the discretion and desire of the institution where the student is applying. Students are encouraged to inquire how the educational institution into which they plan to transfer concerning the transferability of credits received through any another institution in advance of enrollment.                                             

AICCS is a professional, faith-based, non-profit, educational corporation chartered in the State of Missouri USA to found, develop, strengthen, and accredit Christian schools of ministry which offer in-classroom and on-line courses, tracks, and degrees.

Based on our status with AICCS, about a thousand institutions worldwide accept students with credits and or degrees from United Christian Bible University. Some fully accredited schools also accept our credentials.

For a list of the schools, please reach out to our office. Note, however, that transference of credit cannot be guaranteed as all credit transfers are at the discretion of the accepting institution.

 

                                          Separation of Church and State

There is secular education and there is religious education. Religious schools, like ours, are not legally required to become accredited because we do not train students for secular vocations.

Secular schools offer secular education and seek secular accreditation. Religious institutions, on the other hand, need no secular accreditation because they offer no secular degrees. The US law of separation of Church and State agrees with this. Theological Seminaries like ours are, therefore, not required by law to seek accreditation from associations that are “recognized” by an agency of the federal government.

Our programs at United Christian Bible University have been reviewed and certified by the Association of Independent Christian Colleges and Seminaries, based in Missouri, USA. Further, we are duly registered as a Religious Education institution with government in Nigeria and UK and USA.

Students enrolling in any of our degree programs must choose a corresponding major while applying.

                                                               

                                                    Admission Procedures

⦁ Certificate and Licensing Programs:

There is no admission procedure for our short-cycle certificate and licensing programs. The lectures are made available as open resource materials and exam dates are periodically announced. Candidates who sit for and pass the exams will be eligible for our certificate and professional license.

 

⦁          Undergraduate and Post-graduate Programs:

For our undergraduate and post-graduate United Christian Bible University employs a rolling admission policy, this means that prospective students are not limited to just enrolling in the fall, spring or summer. With rolling admission, students can enroll in any of our programs whenever they are ready to start.

Please, note that there is an application fee of  for our degree programs. You will be required to add a copy of your receipt to the application form. You would also need to attach copies of all required Certificates, Degrees and Diplomas along with one passport size photo.

Once this is complete and we review your application, and if accepted, you will receive an admission letter from our registrar's office, along with other requirements.

 

                                                     11. Life Experience Credit

At United Christian Bible University, we acknowledge and honor life experience and the lessons learnt through them, and help you translate them into credits after you have enrolled for any of our degree programs. Since you do not have to re-learn things you have learnt by experience, you can focus your energy on discovering new truths.

We have a robust evaluation process designed to help translate your life experiences and learning to college credits applied towards the Degree Program you have been admitted to study. All you need do is submit valid and verifiable information on your resume to be accredited towards your Degree Program.

These include prior learning, work, ministry experience, seminars attended, books authored, professional licenses, and short course certificates. Through this process, you may have waivers granted for certain courses and up to 25% of the required credits towards your Degree awarded.

While all our courses are tuition-free, there is an assessment fee; to review and calculate total credits to be awarded for prior learning and professional credits earned through life experience. This assessment fee must be paid in full at the time of application for life credit assessment.

Unfortunately, serious confusion prevails in the area of theological education in our country. Some colleges pursue liberal theology and have jettisoned biblical orthodoxy at the altar of intellectual pursuit. Instead of building up the man of God for the work of God, they break down the very foundation of our faith. Yet there are other theological colleges which sacrifice biblical conviction for the sake of convenience. In this theological confusion, United Christian Bible University attempts to provide a balance theological training.

 

        We have several distinctives that justifies our existence and continuation. Our commitment to the authority of the Scriptures is unwavering and total. The Scripture is the ultimate standard by which all our beliefs and practices are to be judged. We believe in the full inerrancy and the inspiration of the Scripture. Our high view of the Scripture is reflected in our Doctrinal Statement. This trustworthy biblical position is the outcome of sound biblical hermeneutics based on a historical, grammatical, contextual and literal interpretation of the Scripture. Our theology is “theo-centric” rather than “anthropo-centric”. Our doctrines are not from “below” but from “above”. We hold a premillennial, pretribulational, and fundamental theology.
